I have started to modle my charecter in 3DS max and so far i have boxed out the body and the left arm. I am using edge coppy and trying my best to avoid creating triangles within my mesh. So far so good.

Tourture chair... Idea of this device is to cause extream pain top the vitim by drilling ito the brains pain centers.

This is teh standerd door size. It still needs work befor the modle is complete.

This is the roof of my courtyard. i have aplied a 3DS opacity to the image to get a basic idea on what it will look like when compleate.

This is the prisons main entrance. As you can see its a BIG door. If you look to the right you will get a rough idea on the size of this door from the size of the small box set to the standerd height of a UT Charecter.


This is a render of the guns i have moddled for my gurad tower. I got the idea for the basic outline from Warhammer 40k's Tau Pulse carbine. its designed so i can place multiple coppys around the level.

This is a quick import in to the UT3 enditor to see what the cell doors will look like in game. I have noticed that the joining pipes between the two cellsare a bit off as they over lap and will corect them as i progress.

This is a 3D assett i created in 3ds max for my latest project. Its a prisson cell door that will eventuly be imported into my level. When i get round to texturin the cell i want the bars to have a lazer style glow to them.

NEW PROJECT: Spatial awareness 2




We have been handed an assignment brife stating that i have to designe a prison level bassed on an escaped prisoner who travlels through time.

So far i have started to block out the level. I have almost compleated blocking out the level and will be ready to export to 3DS max.

This is a render of the modle we have been given to texture. So far i have textured the outside wall. I did this by UVW unwraping the modle in 3DS max and exported the UVW to photoshop. I created the brick texture from a photo i had taken from a wall not far from the college. I the took a segment of the photo and made it into a tiled texture. Then by using the copy and paste tool in photoshop and moved the image into place untill i had filled the outline of the wall UVW.

I am still workin on this fence. I am having problems with the Alpha Map on the fence and cant see it clearly. And i have also created a tieling texture for the pillers using a picture of the posts in my own garden.
Hear is a brick.. YES a brick i have textured for my latest project for my FDCGD course. i took a photo of a brick in my garden on 3 sides and imported the images into photoshop. I used UVW unwrap in 3DS Max to unwrap the brick. I then exported teh UVW to photoshop and aplied the brick photo to it. I then created Normal Maps And Spec Maps for this brick. Then i imported All maps into 3DS max.

Last summer i moddled thudaerbird 1 for my portfolio work to show stas an dean for my interview for the course. Now i know how to edge coppy i have decided to modle thunderbird 2. I decided to modle the craft it self and the pod seperatly so i could do the inerior of the pod as well an posibly some suport vehicles that it can carry. I will think about what to moddle for it durin the summer and upload my progress and ideas as i go along.

This is a render showing that the front of the car is now starting to come together. moddled by using plane and extruding along the edges an modeld into the hsape of the bonnet. Also using the verts to add more cursves and angle the lines corectly. i used symatry to show the other half of the bonnet.
