The Lancaster



Started modleing alancaster bomber last week and hear is where i am at so far.

i have had a lot of issues modleing this but have started to work it out as i go along stressing out over it.

This is something i am working on for a laugh... only taken an hour and a half to set up the Blueprints and moddle what you can see. I found it tricky to modle the front on the ship as the vikings have a verry unique design to there ships. but so far so good.
These are all renders of the church i modled as part of The Work Based Learning module we have just done. There is a few things that i need to finish. But as it is I belive that it is a realy good piece of work.

On the left is the LEGO charecter with 180 pollys followed in the middle by charecter at 190 and on the right 385pollys... It is stupidly dificult to reduce polly on a modle but worth it as i have learned onlot on how to reduce polys in a modle.



Since last weeks presentaion from TT fusion i think it has got us all fird up and wanting to modle lego charecters. So far i have made a basic shape and i am now trying to work out how to reduce teh pollys to 100 as the DS game charecters are around 100pollys so far i have a 385 polly charecter and have been able to reduce it from 385 to 336, i am going to see if i can atleast get it to around the 200 mark.

After a whole day of stressin out i have finaly done the first section of wall for the WBL project. I am not used to modulor building in 3DS Max but it will be a realy good learning curve and a good skill for me to get naild.

this is my charecter so far. As you can now see the jeans texture working well with the modle. I have added shadeing to the texture to geive the effect of folds.

This is a image of my charecter texturing so far. As you can see i have got the base colours in place and have already begun to texture in the detail using images i have found online for the clothing. To create the seams i used the lines on my unwarp as a guid and the polygone select tool to create the basic shape. I then used the beval and embos modifier as well as the drop shadow to create the look for the seams. i also used the beval and embos modifier to create the sticthing and for the pockets i used the iner shadow modifier within photoshop.

hears my final concept idea for what my charecter will hopefully look like when textured, but the texture will have more detail as this is just a basic idea on what my charecter will look like.

I designed my wepon based around 3 different weapons. The P90 for the back end, A rifle from District 9 for the basic body and a grandade laucher for the front grip.

These are the finished renders of my modle. I still need to do the weapons for the charecter an should have them done by the end of next week. I have found the process of charecter modling hard to start with but as I have progressed it has become easyer for me to do.
